Appu Elephent — Mustard (Down-Tusk - 4")

A four-inch standing elephant, small enough to sit in a child's palm — part safe, screen-free toy, part quiet little object for a shelf. Its tusk turns gently downward: a sign of grounded, protective presence. Hand-turned and painted in the folk tradition of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, in warm mustard yellow with red and green folk-paint accents.

The colour and soft sheen come from natural lac, burnished onto the wood on the spinning lathe — no synthetic lacquer, nothing sharp, nothing that flakes. Every piece is turned and painted by hand, so small variations in colour and grain are natural — the mark of genuine craft. A small heirloom made to be handled, passed around, and kept.
