A four-inch standing elephant with downward tusk; hand-turned on the lathes of Channapatna and finished in vermilion red with folk-paint accents in yellow and green. Small enough to sit in a child's palm and finished in non-toxic vegetable dyes; the piece doubles as a safe; screen-free toy and a shelf-side companion. The downward tusk reads as grounded; protective presence — a small; warm keepsake from the GI-tagged Karnataka craft cluster.
