An eight-inch standing elephant with downward tusk; hand-turned on the lathes of Channapatna and finished in a deep forest green with folk-paint accents in red and yellow. The downward tusk reads as a sign of grounded; protective presence — quiet and steady. Coloured with vegetable dyes and sealed with beeswax; the surface softens with handling. Substantial enough to anchor a console table; warm enough for a study shelf or puja niche.
