A palm-sized wooden rabbit; hand-turned on the lathes of Channapatna and finished in soft ivory with red and black folk-paint detailing for the ears and eyes. The form is soft-cornered and rounded — designed in the Channapatna tradition to be safe for small hands and resilient to small drops. Coloured with non-toxic vegetable dyes and sealed with beeswax. A first-toy classic; a nursery shelf companion; or a small return gift carrying a centuries-old craft.
