Hand-turned and painted in the Channapatna folk tradition; the body is finished in soft ivory white with red and black folk-paint detailing across the face and ears. The understated colour lets the piece sit easily alongside other Indian decor — terracotta; brass; sheesham. Substantial; warm; quietly auspicious.
