Hand-turned and painted in the Channapatna folk tradition; the body is finished in sunny yellow with red and green folk-paint detailing across the face and ears. Coloured with vegetable dyes and sealed with beeswax; it brings the gentle authority of the village elephant into a contemporary living room. Substantial; warm; quietly auspicious.
